The Taylor Special-Edition 124ce Walnut features a beautiful matte finish, along with a solid walnut top and layered walnut back and sides. Walnut is sonically similar to mahogany and produces a clear, woody voice with a splash of top-end sparkle and a bit more tonal support in the lower register. This instrument comes complete with Taylor's ES-2 Expression System for an easy plug-in-and-play solution to faithfully reproduce the sound of the guitar. A Taylor original, the Grand Auditorium helped establish the Taylor acoustic sound. The popular body style makes for a versatile guitar that yields ample volume in response to light fingerpicking, and reacts to medium strumming and flatpicking with a clear, balanced sound across the tonal spectrum.
